Biography & Academic Profile
Dr. Reza Gholami has an extensive teaching record at both master’s and doctoral levels across prestigious universities, including the University of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba’i University, Imam Sadiq University, Soore University, and the Supreme National Defense University.
Moving beyond traditional approaches in his research, Dr. Gholami adopts an independent and critical analytical perspective. His scholarship focuses on the philosophy of science, political rationality, justice, and the philosophy of civilization. He has played a unique role in analyzing the relationship between the humanities and religion, shaping the philosophy of modern Islamic civilization in Iran, and developing the philosophy of Iranian Studies through a civilizational lens.
His primary scientific innovation, titled “A New Approach to Political Rationality in Islam,” was selected as a top theory by the Council for Supporting Theorizing, Critique, and Debate in 2022 (1401 AH). Continuing his work on the evolution of Islamic rationality, he introduced the “Theory of Reviving Rationality,” which is regarded as a novel concept for transforming the foundations of trans-religious rationality.
